CENTURION WATER & WASTEWATER SOLUTIONS (AU) DELIVERS SLUDGE MANAGEMENT SOLUTION IN REMOTE WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Centurion’s Water & Wastewater Solutions business line recently helped an iron ore operation in the Pilbara region in Western Australia restore performance across five wastewater treatment plants facing sludge bulking challenges.

Elevated solids levels were impacting effluent quality and plant stability, creating operational, environmental and compliance risks for the customer.

To resolve the issue, the team deployed a mobile dewatering truck, providing immediate on-site treatment and removing the need for ongoing vacuum truck use and off-site disposal.

By processing sludge on site, the team helped the customer stabilize operations faster while reducing transport and minimizing waste sent to landfill. The process also returned treated liquid and healthy bacteria back into the system, supporting ongoing treatment performance.

Across the project, the team processed approximately 200m³ of sludge, improving settling and plant stability while ensuring fully compliant delivery.
