TRIDO DELIVERS EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES TO ELIMINATE METHANE AND TANK VENTING FOR KEY CUSTOMER
Trido Energy Services, part of Centurion’s Canada region, has completed the installation and financing of a Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) at an Alberta-based facility, eliminating methane emissions and tank venting from the site's tank farm and production facility with no capital costs for the producer.
Trido worked with the customer to manage the full project lifecycle – from initial scoping, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning to carbon credit management. Trido’s team conducted detailed measurements, identified the venting sources, and, in collaboration with the producer and a third-party engineering firm, designed a tailored solution meeting emission control requirements.
The newly installed VRU is expected to reduce emissions by 8,000 m³ per month, with the recovered gas and associated liquids compressed into the facility’s gas processing system and directed to the sales line – equivalent to removing over 300 vehicles from the road annually.
Trido financed the operation via its carbon credit finance program. After reaching the pay-out milestone, the producer will benefit from emission reductions while also generating a significant revenue stream through carbon credits.
Trido’s revolutionary integrated end-to-end carbon credit management service offers countless benefits to producers including:
- Lowering greenhouse gas emission intensity
- No capital expenditure required
- Generates additional income streams from assets
- Improves economic, social and governance (ESG) matrix
- Lowering operating costs
- Reducing downtime
- Reducing liability
- Increasing company value
