JACKS WINCHES SUPPORTS RENEWABLE ENERGY

Jacks Winches (Jacks), part of Centurion, is supporting renewable energy development in Australia by providing specialized equipment rentals and services.

The Jacks team recently played a key role in facilitating and witnessing the post-fabrication proof load testing of a large wind turbine blade lifting appliance ahead of its deployment to onshore wind projects in Australia. The 18m-long, 16 tonne appliance required proof load testing per OEM requirements under controlled conditions.

Working as one with the OEM and local engineering experts, the team completed the post fabrication load testing and third party witness certification for this vital piece of equipment safely, professionally and on time. The specialist team of inspectors received great feedback from stakeholders who praised the team’s professionalism and partnering style with further opportunities to work together in the future.
