CENTURION SECURES CONTRACT EXTENSION ON MAJOR RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

Jacks Winches (Jacks), part of Centurion, has been awarded a contract extension on a major offshore wind project.

Initially secured in early 2020, Jacks’ contract on a wind farm installation project – located in offshore Taiwan – has been extended through until 2024. Jacks’ original work scope included the provision of hydraulic winches, hydraulic power packs and line load monitors, together with technicians to operate the winches. In 2022, work on the project expanded to include generators, compressors, fuel storage and workman rest containers.

As part of the contract extension, Jacks will also be servicing their project equipment in Taiwan during off season, cutting costs and reducing emissions for the customer by eliminating the need to ship assets back to Singapore for the essential repair works.
