CENTURION UK SUPPORTS GREEN ENERGY, PROVIDES CRITICAL SERVICES FOR WORLD’S DEEPEST OFFSHORE WINDFARM

As sector-leading providers of critical support rentals & services to the global renewable energy industry, Centurion UK brand ATR has been contracted to provide critical support on the Seagreen Offshore Windfarm.

The Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm project is located 27km off the coast of Scotland in the North Sea and will be comprised of 150 offshore wind turbines – it’s poised to be Scotland’s largest and the world's deepest offshore wind farm when complete. 114 of its wind turbines are currently under construction, and will provide enough green energy to power more than 1.6 million homes while offsetting more than 2 million tonnes of carbon dioxide.

ATR was initially contracted on the project to carry out key LOLER inspections on their newly-installed wind turbine jackets, completing the job on-time, in-budget and with safety at the forefront.

After completing the job, the customer awarded ATR a further scope on the project, which included working on their snagging list, re-torquing and grating handrail bolts, inspecting guardrail weldments and performing other critical repairs. Two expert technicians – along with a wide range of specialty equipment – were sourced and mobilised at short notice, and the project was completed efficiently, safely and sustainably.
