POSITIVE SUBSEA EXPO 2018 FOR CENTURION'S SEANIC

Seanic showcases specialist ROV, diver and decommissioning equipment during 3 day annual Subsea Expo.

Seanic Ocean Systems’ torque tool took centre stage on the company’s stand at this year’s Subsea Expo event in Aberdeen.

During the three-day conference, the firm reported that its Class 6/7 Torque Tool Adapter was the most visited piece of equipment on display and the only one of its kind available on show at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC).

The firm, which delivers all aspects of ROV and diver tooling, testing, storage, and engineering across the globe, had a combined team of personnel from its Houston and Aberdeen offices present.

Organised by membership organisation Subsea UK, the annual exhibition is the largest subsea focused event in Europe and this year saw thousands of delegates attending from all over the world including Japan and Brazil.

Seanic, a Centurion company, had substantial interest from visitors regarding its decommissioning package consisting of the Verachtert Hydraulic shear, control cabin and 5te hydraulic grab, which were all situated at the entrance to the AECC.

As well as the Class 6/7 Torque tool adapter, visitors to the firm’s stand were also able to see various diver and ROV tooling up close including an intelligent valve pack and ROV chain calliper.

Seanic vice president of operations, Andy Guinn, said: “It was a fantastic way to start off the year, catching up with old contacts and meeting with new people to discuss and showcase a selection of Seanic’s services and equipment from our vast selection of diver and tooling products.

“Events like these allow us to engage with a very focused audience from all over the globe. They also allow us to explore potential challenges they may face and how our capabilities can suit their needs. This may be OEM specific or concentrate on a particular operational application in their region.”
